This is a super easy chocolate cake recipe, that will take you only minutes to prepare! This method is quick and an ideal weight for a small birthday cake, as it can support a heavy sugarpaste icing.  You can fill with my chocolate buttercream recipe link below.

You should keep all your ingredients at room temperature, this will help stop the mixture curdling and make the eggs easier to aerate.
